Certification Policies & Legal

1. Terms of Certification

By accepting a Dataholic certification ("Credential"), the Candidate agrees to the following terms:

  • Integrity: The Candidate attests that they have completed all examination requirements personally and without unauthorized assistance.
  • Confidentiality: The Candidate agrees not to disclose examination questions, scenarios, or specific content to third parties.
  • Continued Education: The Candidate acknowledges that credentials may require periodic renewal or continuing education units (CEUs) to remain active.

2. Governance & Versioning

Dataholic certifications are versioned to reflect the evolving regulatory and technical landscape.

Versioning Policy

New versions (e.g., v2.0) are released when significant changes occur in the underlying Subject Matter Knowledge (SMK). When a new version is released:

  • Active Status: Existing credentials remain active until their designated expiration date.
  • Sunsetting: Older versions of the exam may be retired ("Sunset") with a 6-month notice period.
  • Tracking: Certificates will explicitly state the version under which the candidate was tested.
Validity & Renewal

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Standard Validity: 2 Years from Date of Issue.
  • Renewal: Must be completed within 90 days of expiration. Failure to renew results in an "Expired" status, requiring a full re-examination.

3. Revocation & Enforcement

Dataholic and Graduate America reserve the right to revoke any credential found to be obtained fraudulently or used in violation of our Code of Ethics.

Grounds for Revocation:

  • Cheating or utilizing "brain dumps" during the examination process.
  • Falsification of identity or prerequisites.
  • Misrepresentation of certification status (e.g., claiming "v2.0" status when holding "v1.0").

Revocations are permanent and public. Affected IDs will return a "Revoked" status in our verification API.

4. Legal Disclaimer

Not a Government License: Unless explicitly stated (e.g., FAA Part 107 preparation), Dataholic certifications are private, third-party attestations of competence. They do not replace government-issued licenses, permits, or security clearances.

Limitation of Liability: Dataholic is not liable for operational failures, data breaches, or compliance fines incurred by certified individuals or their employers.
